Tyler Le Peau was born and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. As a teenager,
she attended Northminster Presbyterian Church and she loved going to
Montlure Camp during the summers. She attended the University of Arizona
where she studied English Education. She was active in Intervarsity
Christian Fellowship at the University and went on an Urban Trek to
Buenos Aires, Argentina for 7 weeks one summer to teach English at a
community center. Through the Intervarsity HUD (House of Urban
Discipleship), she lived with two other women in a South Tucson
neighborhood where they led children’s tutoring, activities and vacation
Bible school at a neighborhood church, Life in Christ. She graduated and
married Phil Le Peau in 2005, and they lived on the south side, where
they continued to attend Life in Christ and had their son, Eric. Tyler
worked part-time with youth in the Juvenile Court system doing community
service projects and teaching reading in an after-school program.
Their second son, Corbin, was born in 2007. Last year, Tyler taught high
school ESL. The Le Peaus began attending Southside in August 2008 and
have enjoyed meeting more of the congregation, serving dinner at Five
Points Primavera, and becoming active in the Children’s Ministry. Tyler
loves the sense of community and God's presence at Southside. She enjoys
hiking, reading, cooking and spending time with family. Contact: Phone: 520-623-6857 |
